The Sol og Strand Foundation, Sol og Strand Margit and Kjeld, has donated 20,000 kroner to the aid organization Save Ukraine. The funds will be used to transport hospital and school supplies from Denmark to Ukraine.
“With these funds, we can transport equipment that makes a real difference for the sick, the wounded, and children in a country where both the healthcare system and schools are under immense pressure,” says Roman Boichuk, chairman of “Save Ukraine.”

The equipment was donated in Denmark and is being put to good use in Ukraine, where it particularly benefits citizens who do not have access to private healthcare or education.
“This is used but fully functional equipment that is being sent to the areas of Ukraine where the need is greatest,” says Roman Boichuk.
To date, the organization has sent approximately 500 trucks loaded with supplies to Ukraine.
“We’re seeing a great willingness to donate, and we’re delighted that there’s such a strong desire to help in Denmark. The need remains great. Before we send supplies, we confirm the specific needs—we only send the equipment that’s actually needed,” says Roman Boichuk.

He also notes that the aid from Denmark has significant humanitarian value.
– In addition to meeting a specific need, the equipment also provides psychological support. This continued support shows Ukrainians that they have not been forgotten, he says.
Roman Boichuk moved to Denmark in 2009 and works as an IT engineer. He helped found “Save Ukraine” in 2014 and spends his free time on relief work.
“As long as there’s a need, I’ll do whatever I can to help,” he says.
