The boards of both Sol og Strand Feriehusudlejning and Fonden Sol og Strand by Margit and Kjeld, which owns Sol og Strand, are now being strengthened with more external forces.
 

Public utility foundation has distributed 25 million – 10 million on the way in 2026
The main owner, Fonden Sol og Strand by Margit and Kjeld, is a commercial foundation that uses the profits from Sol og Strand to support charitable and public utility purposes throughout Denmark. 

Since its establishment in 2019, the foundation has supported causes with a total of 25 million, and in 2026, a total of 10 million will be distributed to good causes, with an expected increase in the coming years.
 

Journalist Line Gertsen – new member of the board for Fonden Sol og Strand
As part of the continued development of the foundation, the well-known journalist Line Gertsen is now joining the board. 

Line Gertsen has worked as an investigative correspondent at DR and host of TV-Avisen until 2026. Since January, she has been employed as an investigative journalist at Zetland. She is the recipient of the Thomas Gerstenberg Foundation scholarship for having improved the legal security for the most vulnerable in society through her journalism over many years.

Jens Stadum, who is the chairman of the foundation's board, states: 

-This is due to Line's many years of work as a critical journalist – often focusing on ensuring support for those who are vulnerable in society – can contribute to the foundation's continued development. We are convinced that Line has the right values and the right heart, and that she, together with the rest of the board, can contribute to the foundation's work in making a difference for others. 

My mother was employed at Sol og Strand – and I am looking forward to it
Line Gertsen states: 

-I have known Sol og Strand since my childhood, when my mother was employed at Sol og Strand. When Margit Andersen contacted me on behalf of the board to ask if I was interested in joining the board, the answer was easy. I am very much looking forward to the collaboration and to helping realize the founders' dreams and, through Sol og Strand's work, contribute to helping those who need extra support.
 

In addition to Line Gertsen, the foundation's board consists of Jens Stadum (chairman), Margit Andersen (founder), Sisse Fisker, and Per Dam (CEO of Sol og Strand Holiday Home Rentals).  

Sol og Strand is continuing to develop well 

Sol og Strand has existed since 1979, and the main ownership was transferred by founders Margit and Kjeld in the autumn of 2019 to Fonden Sol og Strand by Margit and Kjeld Andersen to ensure continued good development of Sol og Strand. 

Sol og Strand's focus is on facilitating the rental of privately owned Danish holiday homes to Danish and foreign holiday guests. The company aims to create high satisfaction among holiday guests, homeowners, and employees, and the business is developing well.
 

Strong industry profiles are new members of the board for Sol og Strand
To contribute to the continued development of the operating company, Pia Loft and Per Brogaard are now joining the board. At the same time, the CEO of the company, Per Dam, is stepping down from the board of the operating company. 

Jens Stadum, who is the chairman of the board, states: 

-We are very pleased to attract two new external board members, each bringing relevant industry experience. Pia Loft has many years of experience in law, communication, and political understanding, and she has previously been the director of the Holiday Home Rental Association. Per Brogaard comes with broad commercial and international industry experience, and he has a good understanding of strategic development. 

Pia Loft is an experienced leader in national and international political advocacy, strategic communication, and legal advice. 

Pia Loft states: 

-I am very excited to become part of Sol og Strand's board. I already know a lot about the industry, including Sol og Strand. I know that good values are upheld at Sol og Strand, and that there are long-term ambitions for continued development, says Pia Loft. 

Per Brogaard is an experienced strategic leader with over 20 years of experience in leadership roles responsible for the overall commercial development of companies. He has worked across industries in both Denmark and internationally and has extensive experience in strategy, growth, internationalization, and M&A. Today, he runs Strategi-Kompagniet, where he develops and implements strategies and acts as a CEO wingman and close sparring partner for owner-managers and executive teams. 

Per Brogaard states: 

-I have worked for many years with strategic and commercial development – also internationally – and I look forward to bringing that experience into the board work. I know Sol og Strand from the industry and have great respect for the way the company combines strong values with a clear business direction. I am looking forward to it. 

The board of Sol og Strand Holiday Home Rentals A/S now consists of Jens Stadum (chairman), Margit Andersen, Pia Loft, Per Brogaard, and Tommy Madsen.

Director Per Dam: Strengthened boards enhance the development of Sol og Strand 

The CEO of Sol og Strand Holiday Home Rentals is excited about the expansion of the boards, which he sees as a strengthening of future development. 

Per Dam states: 

-Thanks to good collaboration in the boards and with everyone at Sol og Strand, we have reached the position we now hold in the market. We are experiencing good growth based on a strong focus on ensuring high satisfaction among homeowners, holiday guests, and employees while we develop our business. We are in a good place at Sol og Strand now, and we will elevate ourselves further in the coming years, says CEO Per Dam.
