Fonden Sol og Strand, founded by Margit og Kjeld, has donated 20,000 kroner to the aid organization Bevar Ukraine. The money will be used for the transport of hospital and school equipment from Denmark to Ukraine.
– With these funds, we can transport equipment that makes a tangible difference for the sick, injured, and children in a country where both the healthcare system and schools are under great pressure, says Roman Boichuk, chairman of 'Bevar Ukraine'.

The equipment is donated in Denmark and gets a new life in Ukraine, where it particularly benefits citizens who do not have access to private treatment or education.
– We are talking about used, but functioning equipment, which will be delivered to the areas in Ukraine where the need is greatest, says Roman Boichuk.
So far, the organization has sent around 500 trucks with equipment to Ukraine.
– We experience a great willingness to donate, and we are pleased that there is a strong will to help in Denmark. The need remains great. Before we send materials, we confirm the specific need – we only send the equipment that is needed, says Roman Boichuk.

He also mentions that the help from Denmark has an important human significance.
– Besides the equipment addressing a specific need, it also provides psychological support. The continued support shows the Ukrainians that they are not forgotten, he says.
Roman Boichuk moved to Denmark in 2009 and works as an IT engineer. He co-founded 'Bevar Ukraine' in 2014 and spends his free time on aid work.
– As long as there is a need, I will do what I can to help, he says.
