Distributions 2020 – The Sol og Strand Fund Sol og Strand Margit and Kjeld
Married couple Margit and Kjeld Andersen founded Sol og Strand A/S in 1979 and, in November 2019, transferred ownership of the company to the commercial foundation "Fonden Sol og Strand Margit og Kjeld," which aims to support charitable and local causes. From 2022/23, it is expected that the foundation will be able to distribute up to 75 percent of the profits from Sol og Strand to these causes each year. However, the foundation's board of directors has decided to make an extraordinary distribution of funds this year, and therefore the following ten organizations will each receive DKK 100,000.
